GGO Biomorphic is a sixteen-meter monumental seating system assembled from over six thousand intricately milled parts forming twenty-nine organic units. The design process fused analog and digital techniques, beginning with hand-molded clay models that were three-dimensionally scanned to capture an organic vitality that computational design alone cannot produce. Crafted through precision computer numerical control cutting, the structure conceals all metal joints by means of a proprietary system featuring rotating wooden rings that cover assembly bolts. This concealed joint approach creates a seamless, life-like wooden landscape free of visible metal parts.
